Start your day with a unique sunrise in the Azores, behind Pico Mountain.
During the day, in addition to the 3 daily dives, you have the opportunity to sail, enjoy the scenery, visit the Islands, do some water sports (Kayak, Windsurf, SUP, Surf), or if you prefer, relax reading a book, enjoying the sun or having a “siesta”.
In the end of the day, whenever the weather permits, we would prefer having a fantastic dinner at sunset, anchored in a bay.
SEASON
June to September (short season to take profit from the weather and pelagic migrations)
DAYS OF LIVEABOARD: 8 days/ 7 nigths
NUMBER OF DIVES: 16-18 (3 per day)
GUESTS: 6 (small and personal groups are the finest)
CREW: Skipper, Dive Instructor, Cook
TYPE OF DIVES: 6 (off-shore , coastal, cave, wall, wreck, drift).
ITENERARY: Princess Alice Bank, Condor Bank and Faial, Pico and São Jorge islands.
WATER TEMPERATURE: 19 - 25 celsius degrees
WATER VISIBILITY: 20-40 mts
DIVING CERTIFICATION: Advanced or more.
FOOD: Azorean and Mediterranean tasty and healty food.
CONDITIONS INCLUDED:
- Transfers from/ to the Airport or Hotel (only on the same day of check-in and check-out)
- Double cabin with private bathroom
- All food and drinks (alchoolic beverages not included)
- Diving Instructor and briefing in all dives
- Dive tank (only 12 liter)
- Weight ballast/ belt
- Insurance
Important note:
- Although our main priority is to dive at Princess Alice Bank (Mobulas and other pelagic fish) and also at the Condor Bank/Ribeirinha drop-off (Blue Sharks) it may not be possible to travel to these diving spots or others specific ones if the weather conditions are adverse to the safety and comfort necessary to perform the trip and the dives.
- Smoking is not allowed, even in outside areas (electronic cigarettes included).
- Boots/ socks, gloves and diving hood is mandatory to dive with Sharks.
- In case of need, we have all the necessary diving equipment for hire.

PRINCESS ALICE BANK
WE ARE THE PIONNERS..
IN JULY 2000, PAULO GASPAR (OWNER AND SKIPPER OF SAILDIVE), WAS THE FIRST TO EXPLORE DIVING WITH TOURISTS IN THE PRINCESS ALICE BANK. BEFORE THIS DAY, NO OTHER DIVING COMPANY HAD VENTURED TO DIVE IN THIS FANTASTIC AND REMOUTE OPEN SEA SPOT (44 NM OFF-SHORE FROM FAIAL ISLAND - DEPTH -32 MTS.).
The experience accumulated trough the many hours spend (under and above the water) in this special and unique place has allowed Paulo to know when to diveand where in order to anticipate procedures and increase the chance of success, comfort and safety.
Be prepared to dive with fantastic visibilities (30-40+ mts.) and see a wide variety of marine life, including large schools of Mobula Rays and massive schools of other pelagic fish, such Amberjacks as well as large schools of SkippJack’s, Barracudas; Tunas and some Wahoos, Dusky Groupers and Sting Rays.
Whenever the weather forecast is good, we spend the night in this fantastic spot, which gives us the possibility of doing 1-2 dives on the day of arrival and 2-3 dives on the day of departure. This gives us the unique opportunity to dive at the two best times of the day (morning earlier and late afternoon) when Mobulas and other pelagic fish are more sociable and close to the surface. In addition, other boats (RIB's) from other diving companies are not present at that time, which gives us even more exclusivity and the opportunity to fully enjoy.

CONDOR BANK
PROBABLY THE BEST SPOT IN THE WORLD TO DIVE WITH BLUE SHARKS
Before leaving in the morning for this marine reserve, we do a first dive at 8:30 am, in another marine reserve - Monte da Guia. Afterwards, full breakfast and a 3-hour trip to the Blue Sharks spot. On this route we often see Dolphins and, occasionally, SpermWhales and, or, Sei Whales.
After diving with the Blue Sharks, we continue our journey to the Capelinhos Volcano point, where we can watch the magnificent colors of the sunset stamped in different shades of rock on the slope of the Volcano. We end this day with dinner, anchored in Varadouro bay.
